Scott:
There is a rubber bumper up by the latch mechanism. It is adjustable for height by turning a screw that is threaded onto it. The stop is round and made of black rubber. Lower it a little at a time untill the hood closes. Make sure that your release cables are working exactly as they should before doing the adjustment. Don't ask !
It is held in place with a set screw. You have to loosen the set scrw before you can move the rubber bump stop. Use small increments when adjusting and do not loosen too much or it will rattle (sounds like squirrels under the hood). Make sure you tighten the set screw back after final adjustments.
Just to make sure you are closing the hood correctly...are you dropping the hood from the top of the windsheild (12").
