Well the seats in my newly bought 89 are shot. I was considering just dumping them for something aftermarket. I also found that the power controls for them don't work either.
Any suggestions? Not looking to spend a fortune on just seats but want something nice too.

Like everything else, there care seats then there are seats. Pep Girls,Summitt to Corbeau and beyond. How much are you willing to spend?
I am about to put in a set f Corbeaus. Will run about $300 each including sliders.
I LOVE my seat. I wanted something for safety and support that would be a great Road Race seat. Above all I wanted to be held in like a glove. So here it is:
UltraShield Deluxe Road Racing seat with cover. Normally new they are $535 but I got mine from a guy that bought it and decided he wanted something more comfortable so I got it for $260 with the Sparco Rails already on. It doesn't adjust at all other than where you put the bolts but man does it hold you in GREAT! I would recomend it to anyone that plans on racing and wanted a supportive seat.
You can always get those leatherlike seat covers from Mid America. Much cheaper than leather and wear good.
Stock 89 seats are the most comfortable Ive sat in.
