Fuel Pump Problem and Possible Racetronix Solution
I am having an intermittent fuel pressure issue where I get no fuel pressure out of no where w/e it seems to want to do it. My mechanic has isolated it to being either the fuel pump itself or a bad ground. I get power from the main wiring harness no problem. I saw this upgrade from racetronix:
My question would be the system seems to only rely on the main harness for the fuel level and to tell the new relay to switch on when your turn on your key. If, this is the case does this system replace w/e ground could be causing the problem on my OEM system. I would think it would because obviously we have a new pump, the only left over possible issue would be the ground...I just want to make sure this system also tackles that possible problem at the same time. I believe that if this system replaces w/e ground is associated witht he OEM Fuel pump which I believe it does, I will be set....any confirmations on this thoery?

The Racetronix harness does provide a dedicated ground which is coupled with the factory harness ground. We do not recommend using the Racetronix harness to bypass / mask problems with your factory wiring because there may be other associated problems:
Well, I don't believe this is a problem with the factory wiring harness. I believe it is a problem with the factory wiring for the fuel pump. My question is: does this replace the factory ground to the fuel pump, if so that would be correcting the problem, not masking the problem.

We can supply you with new in-tank wiring and a bulkhead connector if required. Please e-mail support@racetronix.com with your problem details and ALL your contact info.
