It's a piece of cake. Just buy the material and go at it.

I pulled the old material off sanded the pad lightly to remove loose particles, cleaned the old cloth to remove loose particles. Sprayed the pad witn 3M 77 adhesive and layed the original cloth back on, worked great, looks new, and even though people on here said it would fall down it still looks perfect more than a year later...

It was pretty easy. Pulled the old material off and bought new vinyl at the fabric store. Cleaned all the loose particles off the foam. I tried using the spray adhesive but didn't like how it held so I used the caulk type adhesive and spread on thoroughly and real smooth. Then laid the fabric over it and spread it, stretched it, and smoothed it across. Kept on burnishing it for good contact then let it set hard. push the edges in as much as possible. Then trim the edges with a utility knife and that's it! Looks great and feels great!

Hardest part I encountered was getting the old headliner board out of the top without damaging it. Take your time,,, easy, inexpensive fix per the directions already stated.

Yep I did the same on my 84, the factory cut is perfect and you can trim it and tuck the excess materal with a straight edge in the seam.
