When turning headlights on or off, there is a rotating/slipping sound after the lights have completed their motion. Sounds like something is rotating/slipping until it finds its position.
That is almost always caused by the disintegration over time of the bushings inside the motor. They are made of delrin and can be ordered through various vendors. I got mine from mid america (madvet.com) and took about 2-3 hours to take apart and replace them in both mine on a 95 coupe. There is a great DIY article at corvettefever.com in their how to section ( includes pics.) go there for advice if you're doing them yourself. About $10 bucks to fix both headlights. Good Luck.
There have been others who found some bushings at home depot or lowes for less than a buck but the ones I purchased were solid delrin not hollow bushings IMHO they are better quality and I hope will last longer than a hollow bushing. Again good luck. Its a pretty easy job. Take the entire assy off the car , even though it can be done in place The whole thing comes off and makes the job much easier on a work bench, or the kitchen table.
