5 more hp w/the aluminum heads. TPI was introduced in 85.

According to my C4 "Cor-VETTE Specs" book, the '84 had a pretty good amount of squeaks and rattles that the engineers got rid of for the '85 model year.

First of a generation means very little from a collector's standpoint. First of a model, does.

And the C4 means very little from a collector's standpoint.

So I'd say neither. Better put some money in a 401K instead.

I test drove an 84 (low mileage) and it sounded like the interior was coming apart. I attributed it to the hard suspension and went with an 85 instead.

It was nice otherwise. I wonder, would a softer set of springs have fixed it?
