Driveway fun
I used the tech articles at www.c4guru.com to drain the ZF6 and refill it with GM Syncromesh Transmission oil. I then drained the Dana 44 and added Royal Purple and GM positraction additive.
Neighbors think I am crazy. I dumped half a bottle of the tranny oil in the driveway and it also soaked my hair. Good thing I bought plenty.
I just love washing my hair with Fast Orange.

I went took it to a local cruise spot about 30 miles away and met up with some of the W Michigan Forum members. It seemed to shift smoother. No leaks as I looked under it at the show to make sure.
Tomorrow I will clean the throttle body, clean and re-oil the K&N air filter, and check for debris between the radiator and AC evaporator. I also plan to install my new Hurst cue-ball shift ****.
I had a check engine light come on this winter during one of my warm up sessions. I cleared the code by disconnecting the battery but it came back a few miles down the road. Anyone know where the ALDL connector is on a 96 (looks like the 94-96 have the same style connector)?

I can relate, I've had many baths with ATF ect.... my neighbors think I'm crazy (only a few) because I bought a lift for the garage..

Hey Ron-
Great project! When your car is on jack stands do you not leave the doors and hood open? I know when you either raise or lower it they should all be open but I was not sure about being on stands....
I just ordered front shocks and some caliper paint to work on the 92 this week, I hope!
PS- I heard some 93 octane also works well on cleaning grease and oil out of human hair! Now I know why I shave all mine off!

I was in a Chris Petris C4 class. He said to not bother with opening the doors when lifting. It is an urban myth. Someone is the class said he knew of a coupe owner who lifted their car with the doors open and the body twisted and cracked the glass top. Verts have an X brace that lessens the twist so I don't worry about it.
I'm sure everyone has there opinion.

Always good to know. Thanks!
Are you saying you vert guys are better than us coupe guys???
