Guys, The PDL's on my 93 Vette are weird. When I flip the switch to lock the doors neither of the pdl's will engage. However if I flip the switch back and forth several times both doors will lock with effort it looks like. When I unlock them they work as designed. Is the problem the actuators on BOTH doors have gone bad?
Thanks
More likely the problem is your switch. I'm not sure, but I believe the switch just flips the polarity to lock and unlock. If the power door locks have problems on either door switch then the problem will be in the drivers side. Thats my advice anyway, Good Luck!
I have noticed that when I manually lock and unlock either door the slides are hard to move, not smooth at all. My luck I will have to replace the actuators and get new slides also. I am thinking I will have to spend about 2 grand on this car before everything is ok with it like it should be. I am also thinking I will need to replace the W/P and the Opti soon as it has 98K on it. That will cost a pretty penny I am guessing.

Take the door panel off and see what lurks behind. It may be something as simple as cleaning, lubricating, and reassembling. Someone may have got in there before you and fricked it up, too!
You can disconnect the actuator switches too and jumper them out to see if the actuators work any smoother too.
Good luck!
PS- Dang nice avatar!!!
I tried taking the door panel off but I ran into a problem. I got all the screws out but the panel still didnt want to come off. Can someone send me some instructions on how to remove these things. I dont want to break something I will have to replace at an outrageous price.
Thanks
Be sure and disconnect your battery before working on that door panel. A Corvette electrical system's wiring is fickle enough and you can **** something up real quick with that door panel off.
