"89 dash cluster
I am about to enter the interior "phase"of the "89 re-build,The gas guage and oil pressure are dark on the cluster, I am considering an exchange with Corvette Parst Service Co. any one have experience with them, good or bad,

I've had to send mine in 3 times to Gene Taber and have had mixed results. My problem was his "fix" didn't last and I had to return it a couple more times to get it right. Hopefully, it's my last time having to do that

The dash in my old '89 had a dark spot too.
Real annoying.
But if the displays all work properly and it's just darken, it may not need to be sent off for repairs.
Like the others above said, it might just be a burnt out bulb.

There is a guy on ebay that sells each of the 3 pieces individually as new units for like $100/ea I hear. I need a new center gauge section, all my started bleeding a month ago. I can't even read the gas gauge anymore 
I will see if I can find the seller or company that is doing this. My bro-in-law replaced some on his 84 with newer ones on an 85? or something, all new units and all work flawlessly.

If it has just got a dark spot you have a bul or 2 out.
Pull the cluster, pry off the round silver things, under each is a bulb. 4 total. Replace the bulbs.
A few cents or a few hundred dollars.

I bought two from this guy--a great value and easy to install. He even provide some tech assistance when I made a boo-boo on the install.
He has all of the LCDs--if he does not have the one you need listed for sale on eBay, just send him a note and he will sell one direct. I highly recommend this seller.
