removing the bow

I thought that was bonded to the car.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
It requires a few things.
-A strong heat gun.
-A whole lot of patience.
-A relatively skilled hand in bodywork.
They are glue/bonded to the car with standard SMC bonding adhesive (I used SEM 3887 to rebond it- at least I think that was the number, its been over a year) . They are glued at that lip, and a strand along the front side of the halo (which would put it under the weatherstripping), and what I can best describe as a "loose" strand along the back-side of it underneath where the hatch glass is bolted into place.
This is a pretty major undertaking, and the better you are at it, I would guess the longer it will take. I used a lot of different tools to pry that halo loose after the heat gun had done its work. (once you see smoke coming from underneath it and smell the glue, that means it's probably ready to be worked loose). I pried it loose with wood chisels, body putty scrapers, flat blades, anything that I could use to fit in a small area, and not put too much pressure when prying...
Did any of that rambling mess help?

good luck
