Default Hard Brakes ? ? ?
Today as I was driving my brakes started acting strange,They got to where they felt like the car was off,I had to press hard to stop.About three weeks ago a brake pressure light came on for a couple of hours, i ignored it because it went off.
Anyone have an idea or encounter this problem..

My '88 FSM list the two most common causes as:
-leaking vacuum system
-glazed brake linings

My guess would be a bad vacuum brake booster or master cylinder

bad booster=stiff pedal
bad MC=soft pedal

looks like its booster/vacuum related

I had to replace my booster. It made the sound of air escaping when I depressed the bake pedal. There my be more signs of a bad booster but this is what happened to me, for what it's worth.
