haunted headlights
its daytime....i turn off the ignition and pull out the key and open the door and the headlights pop up and on for no apparent reason....(twilight sentinel option is off)....lasts only for a few seconds then they go down.....then on some occasions it recurs a minute later....spooky.....maybe a defective "stalk" ???

or more like a short in the wiring or a bad relay maybe? Check the 3 wires coming out of each motor for any damage and then see if there is voltage at the relay. The relay is on the driver side firewall, depending on year of course.
