Default Garage Completed (Pics)

So, after three years of wanting to make my garage look nice I finally did it over the last two weekends. Let me tell you, painting 10 year old drywall is no fun task! It is nothing like slapping paint on interior walls, and in fact I'm sure I heard a sucking sound as I painted these babies.

Project included:
1. Cleaning and purging old $#** that I forgot I had!
2. Taking down all the old shelving, disassembling floor shelving
3. Apply Kilz on stained areas, paint three walls & ceiling
4. Put up new shelving and decor, followed by more purging and cleaning

Future projects (we'll see):
1. Put down that cool concrete floor covering
2. Flat screen tv on the wall to watch baseball, drink beer and enjoy an occasional cigar on summer nights

It's just a townhome so nothing SUPER fancy or spectacular, but now I have a fun place to hang out and commune with my Vette.

Only before shot:

Did you not prime the drywall first?
If not then you will be soon
Paint doesnt like to stick to dry wall

I sought several opinions on primer and the comments were mixed, which led me to believe "just do what I want." One person who didn't use primer hasn't had any issues in the few years since paint-only.

We'll see, I guess!

Default Nice Clean Garage

Your garage looks outstanding. I bought a 30 x 90 garage/shop that has been in progress ever since. Organized and clean are my main goals.

You're right, it's probably not complete without some tantalizing, scantily-clad hussy but I need to keep it acceptable for all kinds of visitors.

Ideally I'd like to carpet the whole floor and make it an extension of my house, but in MN that wouldn't work to well for winter!

I got it from MAM a couple years ago when it was only $30. Now they're $20 more.
