I drove my parents' 24,000 mile '77 to prom my freshman year:

Drove my 383 '89 my junior year:

Drove a '57 Thunderbird my senior year:

Notice how all three pictures are in the exact same location.

Two years after I graduted, I went back to the prom again with a friend who was still in high school
Drove my grandfather's Caddy:

i banged her in a cornfield in a nearby farm after the prom. no vettes, no cool cars, just a stiff member that knew no conscience and 3 smelly rubbers later it was lights out.

I didn't get to take a Vette, but my Senior year I took my older brothers Opel GT (a few years back, like 34). It was only 3 years old then.

Does it count that one of my students bugged me for like 2 weeks before the Prom to let me, let them take my Vette? I kept telling him "It aint gonna happen!"

Nah. Would have been fun though. Went to my prom with a friend in my father`s 57 Chevy.

Though when I get back home I might have a Vette, and my sister will need a ride to prom. Hoping she doesn`t have a date with her that is...not sure how you`d fit 3 people in a Vette...

Not prom, but I got my first ride in a 'Vette at 18 (a 1969 convertible) on graduation night. It pushed me over the edge, well that and the fact the C4 models came out that year in 1984.

I got to drive Dad's 1960 Vette to Junior ring dance in high school. A friend of mine took his dad's 1966 Mustang Convertible.

Yeh, I took my dad's (red/red 84). Girlfriend's mother made the comment, "Well, not going to be able to do any funny business in there." Oh, it was a 50 mi trip one to her. Funny, I usually too the freeway to see, not that day, though.

It wasn't my prom but I still had to wear a monkey suit.

Just following in the tradition of my Dad. He got married in it and then later brought me home from the hospital in it. Just waitin' my turn to get it. In the meantime, the ZR-1 will keep me occupied.
