I found a nice 94' on autotrader listed at $11495 but the dealer said he would take $10500. From all the pictures it looks very good and has ZR1 wheels and the car has 80K one owner miles. I told him I am going to wait until I get a carport built in front of my garage because of possible hail storms. He told me the Corvette is made of fiberglass and cannot be damaged by hail. This is news to me and I told be he is full of BS. As for those of you who read my post on 92' deal, I sent him the $300 deposit and he said we could still deal after he cashes check and yes the check is good, so was the first one and the saga continues.

So which part do you think he is full of BS? Corvettes have had fiberglass bodies since the very first one (1953). Or is it that a Corvette can't be damaged by hail (they won't dent from hail, might cause other issues but they won't dent)?

I think most people know they are made of fiberglass but they will crack or split in a hail storm from what I have read anyway.
It sounds like a decent price to me. Have you checked it out and driven it? I wouldn't worry about hale damage. Most of the time it will get you while it is parked at work or Walmart. I'd be more worried about a tornado in Kansas. Buy a good car cover and forget about it, then build your carport unless you really need the money for that and not the car. Also a small editing comment is that the correct way to identify 1994 is '94.
If it doesnt hurt the body (obviously no dents) then its going to screw up the paint and windows for sure. Maybe an older car's body would be impervious to hail, but no windows are safe.
A hail strom will damage a Corvette, or just about anything else if its big enough.
I wouldn't put a deposit on a car till I was sure I was going to buy it.
Corvettes are a dime a dozen and they sell really like wool sweaters in July.
80k is getting up there, but they're good cars and it should be fine ask about a warranty to safe.
And have it inspected.........
I guess you are right about being a dime a dozen. I found a '93 with 11,652 miles and from the pictures looks to be in excellent condition from a dealer in Arkansas. He is asking $10995 for it. I know the wholesale is around $9000 but I have never seen a deal this good. I am going to sit tight for awhile to see whats going on with the prices of these cars.
