1994 window won't go down - easy fix?
I fiddled with the mounting/adjusting screws and luckily was able to eliminate the problem. I now leave the window slightly cracked instead of fully raised. If I absolutely have to raise it fully, I will open the door, raise the window and shut the door. I believe the adjustment sequence is outlined in the service manual as part of a regulator replacement procedure.

TRY THIS FIRST, I LEARNED THE HARD WAY!!!
I had a similar problem. My passenger side window would work intermittently, then it stopped working all the time. The driver side window started moving very slowly, like it was binding up on something, or the motor was going bad. I figured since a regulator and motor usually costs about $350, and the motor itself was about $69, I bought two motors. I took apart the driver's door, and got the new motor mounted on the regulator (anyone who's done this knows the deal with the rivets and lack of clearance when the gear passes by them). I got it back together, and the window was still slow! I had cleaned and lubed everything, and nothing appeared broken.
ALWAYS CONSULT THE SHOP MANUAL FIRST, NO MATTER HOW LONG YOU'VE BEEN DOING THIS STUFF OR WHAT YOU THINK YOU KNOW!!!
I found the ground for the circuit, and took off the driver side sill/speaker panel to get to it. It's up there by the driver's left foot. The bolt was loose, it just spun in the hole when trying to tighten it. I found another hole just below it, put the bolt in there, tightened it, and guess what? Both windows started working perfectly again. I don't know how it got loose, as that is one of the only areas of the car that I have never worked in. Give it a look, it might save you a lot of time and trouble.
