My '84 w/AT stalls out on sharp turns. These are sharp 90 degree turns like street corners or good old country roads. When I hit a sharp turn and nail the gas coming out of the turn it falls flat on it's face, spits and sputters then finally takes off. Its not much fun! I had the intake off recently to replace the intake gasket (antifreeze leak) and noticed puddles of gas under the throttle bodies. Normally the car runs great and gets pretty good milege. Got any ideas?
It's doing that because you don't have enough gas in the tank.Your fuel tank is behind the rear bumper the whith of the car ,when you go around a corner all the fuel goes to one end and there is not enough for the pickup tube to reach.Never go below a 1/4 tank.

And fix that fuel leak before you burn it up.
Try to keep it at half full at all times. Its not good for it to get so low that it stalls it out like that.

Yup, enjoyed that powerless feeling on many an occasion.
Does it ever stall or stutter coming up to a stop sign or light as the RPMs decrease? Could be a dirty throttle body if it wasn't cleaned when the intake was removed. Otherwise the previous posts are probably right on.
