A good friend of mine has a saying that to me (and him) sums it all up:
"Friends don't complain, friends don't explain". If I don't call him, or vice versa, for months, we are still the best of friends, just busy or whatever. If I need his help, he is there if possible. If he needs mine, likewise. One of the best friends I ever had and I met him when coaching Little League. I had an accident in 1993 that left me in a wheelchair. He built a ramp to his front door just so I could get into his house to watch Steeler games. That is a friend!

Still. It has been 14 years Nov. 9th. Lost my wife (28 yr marriage), but feel I am better off w/out her. Just for the record, she drives a VW...lol...I surprised the $hit outta her when my oldest son got married 3 yrs. ago by showing up in my newly acquired Vette. He who has the last laugh has the best one. hahaha

Edit: If only I could do the mods by myself like I used to be able to. But I got 2 mechanically inclined boys, and some gearhead friends, so no worries. It will come together sooner of later.

Friends can be very critical of work done for them. He probably low balled the price because your his buddy but thought it best not to do it after thinking about it. I think he was putting a lot more on the line than you. Just say I understand and move on from there. I'm sure he'll come through for you in a pinch.
