1990 Console Question
I have a 1990 coupe and there is a plate on the console about 3 inches square mounted between the 2 power window controles and in the very center of this plate there is a red light mounted. I have no idea what it is for. I am assumeing it was put there by one of the previous owners. I tried to remove the plate to trace the wire out but the plate would not snap off. I thought before i break something, i better ask some questions. So, does someone have any idea what this light might be for and does this plate really snap off or must i remove more than just the plate?

Is the plate higher than the controls for the seats? If so somebody has probably glued the plate to the top of the area between the two power seat switches. That is where the FX-3 Select ride supension switch goes if the car was so equiped. So if the plate is not flush with the left and right switch its simply glued (plate with light) to the top of the flat surface area. However if I may suggest simply posting a pic might clear this question up fast for you.Is this plate plastic and in the same color of the console? Its also possible that an LED was drilled in the center of the factory plate. First clue is the color of the plate the same as the rest of the console?
