Default Engine miss

Guys Could someone give me some direction on a 1985 intermitent engine miss. It will come and go sometimes for a week be there then might go away and now it is back!!! Things I have done so far are/ had all injectors serviced including cold start injector just recently by Rich at cruzin performance. I did the looking at plug wires at night to see if i saw spark. new plugs, (have not changed plug wires or distributer cap yet). Would that be the next step? Could the ecm cause this. Right before it started missing this last time check engine code came up but i did not check it right away and the next day when i started the car the code did not come back on but the miss is there. sounds like it is on the passenger side of engine. Yesterday i changed plugs on that side, miss is still there. tks Randy

I don't know about your car but my 87 is VERY VERY fussy about the gap on the plug. You might double check your gaps and make sure they are dead on?

These engines are also fussy about cross-firing (no insult to 1982-1984 Vettes) resulting from missing/broken spark plug wire holders and looms.

Check to see if yours have cracked or broken from the intense engine heat.

You can order the O.E.M. Packard wire holders/looms from Mid-America, Eckler's, Zips, etc.. for around $10 bones.
