ASR "Acceleration Slip Regulation". Engine spark retard, throttle close down, and brake intervention limited wheel spin during acceleration, "ASR" sometimes called "Traction Control", was standard equipment for Corvettes starting with 1992 models...

 

It was funny when I first bought the car, I asked the older school teacher who was the original owner "what is this button for" (ASR) and his reply was "don't touch that, just leave that alone" of course the first thing I did when the car arrived from Florida to Canada was touch that button, WOW! 300 hp really kicks in, but of course I don't reccomend this to anybody

 

You forgot the best feature: obnoxious kick-back of the gas pedal during ASR operation...

I wonder how many startled people took their foot off the pedal during a situation which engaged ASR, causing a spin.
