Default 87 rocker panel clips?

Ok, here's my latest. The rear of my rocker panel on both sides is not held down. There's a spot in the rear fender well where 2 screws go, (and are missing). When I pull the rocker panel away from the body a little, (it flexes), I can see a slot where some kind of clip was, or some other fastener, (it's gone). I took it to my body guy, and he wasn't sure what was supposed to be there.

Anyone know how those things attach, and where I need to go to get the parts?

There are two extensions on the rear of the panel with clips on them that attach the inner fender wheel well to it via washered torx screws. There is also a 7mm screw that goes into the panel through the dog leg, about 1-2 inches in from the end

Do you have any idea where I could get a drawing, or a parts list or just find the parts?

Don't have a picture, but the clip is the same one that holds the rest of the inner fender well in place, I'm sure you could find one that works at a parts store. GM might still stock them, I have a bunch of them, but the shipping....

Are you saying that on the end of the rocker panel there is should be a piece sticking up that the screw goes into? The end of my rocker panel is only slightly built up with a couple of what look to be slots in them. I haven't taken the rocker panel off, but it seems it's attached to the body at serveral places down it's length. Would this be the same thing at the end? What I see, (this is crude):

rocker body/clip fender skirt

_______ || |

There's a standard clip on the body and it looks like it would accept a 7mm screw. The skirt has a hole where the screw would go. The rocker is almost flat at the end, no hint of where a screw would go into this thing.

I'd gladly order what I need from GM if I could only tell them what I need!

Go to the dealer, they should have a picture. There are two places for the clips on the end of the rocker, unless they've been broken off. The screw that goes through the body panel into the rocker cover (there is a raised piece on the back of the rocker cover) is not visible unless you pull the inner fender well back. If the two anchor points are broken off, PM me and I'll tell you how to fix them.

I'll have to find a dealer around here that can support the car. The independent dealer around here wanted to have the car in to look at it, (and associated diagnosis fee). Jerk.
