Hot day driving with the AC on in my 87. The AC that recently was rebuilt. Anyway, I have it set for 60*, both controls to auto on the climate control. I notice the blower fan sometimes seems to blow about 1/2 as hard. I can't get a handle on when, sometimes driving, sometimes at a light.
Then, this is the bad part, I noticed a stumble starting from a light. I look at all the gauges, everything is fine. Next light, I look at the volts, 12.4! It's never that low. Again, stumble from a standstill, once it's up to speed, 14 volts.
If I turn off the AC no problem. Ever. Never below about 13.9 volts.
I went to the dealer that did the AC repair, and naturally he wants to bend me over.
I have no idea what's going on, other than I'm getting real tired of finding problems.
Hope you get this figured out. My 87 was kinda doing the same thing about a month ago and I found that it was a bad connector for the underhood lights.
Post in TECH and I'm sure you'll get a lot more help.

Same symptoms, or similar? My 87 runs pretty good most of the time, just when I put the AC on, I have this problem.
