By mistake, I posted this in another section so here goes again.
I am at the point where I will be replacing very soon the shocks on my 87 as the current ones have seen their better days and now I must make a choice.
What I have mainly is a daily driver that will never be road raced or involved with any form of auto cross but will on rare ocassions may see some drag racing action.
Because my wife drives it more than I myself, I am looking for the smoothest ride as possible as we will be driving it to the Mid West (South Dakota) and back in August so comfort will be a priority.
Any suggestions would be appreciated and if known, what price ranges are we dealing with?
See if a newer year's corvette's shocks will fit. The shocks that come with these cars is under-rated I think. I was told to just have my Bilsteins REBUILT instead of buying new ones. They are seriously better than anything you can get unless you are going for serious motocross.
I have a '90 vert, approximately 10-12 years ago I purchased Bilstein shocks and have not been disappointed. They provide a more performance ride than others,(not overly stiff) I did not want the vette to ride like a Cadillac either.
