You should be able to buy a shifter **** from mid america, vette2vette, or flee bay... Im not sure cuz mine is all stock, but if you look hard enough i would think you can find one.
And yes on my 85 the O/D switch is on the console next to the mirror switch on the left. I think 86 it was on the shifter.
