Default my idea worked!

So, I was thinking my stock exhaust sounded a little timid for what an LT4 can do. I heard some of the sound clips of eliminated muffler cars, and thought wow! what a cool sound. So, awhile back I did it. It was nice, but a little too much for my taste, but good enough that I wasn't going to put the mufflers back on. Then, came the idea. Why not replace the stock resonator. I got this idea from one of our forum members. So, I got a Magnaflow #12468 dual in/out muffler. It was a bear to install. The poor guy took like 3 hours. The real problem was that the pipe seperation was off by 1/2 inch total. The lesson learned was to drop the entire exhaust from cats back, cut, mock, and weld. probably could have done it in a half an hour. Oh, well.

But the sound is awesome! The idle and cruising sound is an aggressive deep rumble, and then getting on it is just smooth as silk. Just the right kind of growl, a little pop on down shift. Just perfect. Mean but classy. So if you like an aggressive exhaust but don't want to sound like a NASCAR ride, give it a try. The muffler was $89. The install was a robbery at $160. But it sounds alot better than any of the Corsa, Borla systems I've heard.

So, basically you just have a single muffler under the center of the car?

Thats a cool idea. I thought about that in the past but just opted for non altogether.

Pics?
