buying a corvette is cheap n easy, maintaining them is expensive :p why do you think there are so many garage queens, owners can't afford to fix them

Do C4s look rich??
I was out crusing Friday. I drove passed a BMW dealership so I turned around and parked the 1996 torch red Corvette. A sales woman came out right away and asked if I needed help? She said you must like speed driving
a Corvette. You might like to check out this BMW M5 its only 60 grand!!!!!! We also have a Ferrari in the back. I guess if you are wearing a polo shirt and driving a clean Corvette money is no object. hahha, If she only knew that I only paid 17k for my mint Corvette. Hey thats cheaper than a new Honda Civic EX. I said no Im just looking. I laughed and smiled about that as I was leaving the dealership. I guess image is everything. Long Live the

Just goes ta show that you can get an attractive high performance car at the price of the average grocery gitter critter.

I have learned over the years that most people have no idea regarding most Vette model years or values, they just know it's a Vette. People thought I had a new one when the C5's were out, now they think it's a C6. I had a guy just recently say "you have a beautiful car, what year is it?" "really, I can't tell if it's a 95 or 2005, they all look the same". Even my Dad mistakes newer Vette's for mine, my Mom sets him straight! lol

I'm going to guess both because it's a very sexy car and at one time it was an expensive car. Most joe's don't know how old a C4 is but everyone knows what a corvette is and thereby think it's expensive.
