Everything on my car rattles. I want to get some sound deadening material from midamerican to help hush the door rattling when I hit bumps and help keep the window tapping from sounding so loud.

my 89 had a rattle that sounded like it was under the car, turned out to be a the water pump pully wobbling...its worth a look see.
Other than that...the visor rattles, the door, the seat..the side mirrors, the dash, the 6 speed, the widnows, the center caps the mufflers, the on..and on...and on......

If it rattles when it's warmed up and it's under the car it's probably exhaust. Check your hangers and your clearances.

..i have an 88 and i started getting a rattle when i would raise the rpms...it too sounded like it was coming from underneath the car....
....i tracked it down to the aluminum cover that mounts with 3 torx screws that is over the distributor!...it somehow (even while tight) would resonate....
...so, i merely took a large "o" ring (maybe 1 1/2'' dia) and placed it under the aluminum "cover" and on top of the plenum, tightened the screws down again and voilà, no more "rattle".....
