Can anyone tell me the difference in HP between short tube and long tube headers and can you feel much more acceleration over stock exhaust? Thanks for any replies.

Shorty=0, headers=10-20 depending on exhaust system...

It all depends. The manufacturer can spin there clams many ways. For instance if you squeeze off a 500hp motor with factory manifolds and then put headers on it you may gain 25hp. Headers are a great starting point for modding your car. They should give you a seat of your pants boost in hp and they will compliment any future mods.
As for shorty's don't even bother

Absolutely on the shortys. You have shortys now. My azz is so old I didn't feel any difference with long tubes alone. You will note a difference in exhaust, louder.

Stock to Hooker shorties and Corsa catback I noticed a very small difference in the upper rpms. Mostly the noise makes it seem bigger. Then went with TPIS long tubes, high flow cats and Flowmaster catback and really noticed a difference. Car seemed to rev quicker which basically is faster acceleration. HP all depends in what else you have going with mods. I would think there would be a small amount of hp to gain with 1 3/4 shorties but not with 1 5/8. If I lived in a place they did visuals for inspections I would stay with shorties.
