Default Wheelskins owners inside please.

I'm thinking of getting one of these steering wheel covers, as they look really nice but I have a question..

I have a 96 in Polo with the tan interior.

With the Iggee seat covers, I have a really nice black and tan thing goin on.

SO I want to get their euro tone cover, in black and tan.

But I cant figure out what one of their colors best matches the tan. Their tan looks WAY too dark, closer to saddle, and sand looks too light.. Oak looks close.

I wanted to know if any of the tan guys have found a wheelskin that matches our interior.

I have the black and tan cover, if I remember correct, it is a little lighter than my saddle interior and much darker than light beige from 92-96. Never installed it, will let you have it for $40 delivered.

Just go to the wheelskins web site, you can request sample colors before you order.

That does look like the oak one, sand looks very light.

I know I can order the samples, but I didn't want to go through all that if some of my brethren had already went through it

I can't take credit for the install as my wife stiched it up for me, as for whats under the shades you'll find a sportscaster xm receiver & a couple bucks worth of change, no nickel bags tho.

Default quality/cost?

Do these things stitch closed after you slip them on?

Do they fit tight?

Does everyone feel that they are worth the cost?

I looked into the wheelskins and they just look fake. Granted they are the best bang for the buck but I splurged, sending my steering wheel to American Stitches. I had them 2-tone my steering wheel to match the interior. They sent me several color swatches to best match the color code.

I ordered samples about a week ago they should be here any day now. I have the same color situation and in the market for a cover since my steering wheels finish is going in the hole. If you want I can send you the samples after I get them to see what color you need. I ordered the Tan, Oak, and Sand color samples.

I got the samples to day and none of them are close. Let me know if you find something else. I can post picsof them if you want, maybe they will match your interior better.

Looks Great,,,,What does something like that cost...Is it more (costwise) than just replaceing the wheel

I did it to my car myself in about an hour. The instructions say to make the stitches very tight. I thought that if I pulled too hard, the thread would break, but it didn't. I'm not sure what it's made of, but it held up just fine. I got the red/black combo and it is tedious work. I'd post a picture, but I won't have the car returned for a few more months. It's not at all difficult to do and it certainly makes the wheel look much nicer.
