I don't understand your quiestion fully. Are you asking about security in general or just for the Viper alarm. I do have the viper alarm system. Cost me 400 dollars to have it installed and it has the auxillary button that pops the rear hatch. It has a few different sounds when its set off. When I first got it installed, it kept going off randomly and then when it rained, it would go off. They said it was normal and that it needed to be set.

As for more security, you could try to keep your car on the low side. Don't put performance stickers on it or advertise if you have upgraded speakers or anything like that. You can get darker tint on your windows so it will be harder to look in and keep your security cover pulled. Park in a lighted area and away from other cars but still where it will be caught someone trying to vandalize it. Midamerica has a battery guard which is steel and keeps someone from drilling into your battery. That is how vettes were stolen with the vats because it disables all alarms. Don't act like a hardcore driver on the road. Be courteous to others so they wont have a reason to harm your car. Turn your front wheels fully to the left or right so it will be harder to tow from the rear. Also, set your parking brake. Get locking valve stem covers from Mid America as well. Lock nuts for your wheels will help. You have to drill thru them to get them off without the correct wrench. Thats about as much as I can think of unless you get plexiglass windows.

Interior security could be a shifter lock if you have a automatic. You cann get a wheel lock for your steering wheel.

Something important though. There have been reports of gas stealing where thieves use a pump to steal your gas. Also, pouring sugar, oil, kitty litter, sand, or some other substance in your gas tank to ruin the motor. Get a locking gas cap.

I did a search for you on security. Hope this helps you out a bit.

Sorry. I misunderstood what you were asking. I have the viper alarm system Viper 350 HV Car Alarm System. When its engaged, there is a small LED light that flashes blue continiously which lets everyone know your system is armed. Very bright at night and still visable during the day. You could do a search on it. I have had no problems so far. Goodluck with your search. Another system you might like would be a Python or the Lojack. Friend has a python on his car and he seems to like it pretty well. I don't know anything about it though. I say go with a viper. They are well known and have a limited lifetime warranty.

Viper's and Python's are the same alarm. They're both made by Directed Electronics. I can't decide if I want to go with a 2 way alarm or not.
