I had the C4 out yesterday and got caught in a rainstorm. With all of the sale threads I have seen about "never been in the rain", I was concerned that I may never be able to sell my car or worse it would just self destruct. I am pleased to report that the car is perfectly fine, the windshield wipers work, it does not leak and it did not turn into a rust bucket on my way home. Rinsed it off, wiped it down and put it back in the garage. I know it's not just a car, but it is a car that can be driven in the rain. I'll guess I will take off $1 for driving it in the rain if I ever sell it.
It,it, it, didn't melt? Rain. there's a concept, 80+ days and counting. That's the last time we give Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas all our rain! aaa, I believe $2 off for each instance is customary.
Living in South Florida, mine gets to see rain and hurricanes. They still drive fine. Amazing.....Just don't drive though the rain like this.............. Other Corvette drivers don't seem to wave as often in the rain. Maybe it's the foggy windows.

..."if it ain't been wet,, it ain't a driven 'Vette."
they won't melt.
they won't depreciate in price.
they won't look any different....
actually , I always figured that if I have a reason to get underneath mine to clean-off the residue etc. from running thru a rainstorm, that gives me all the more opportunity to inspect ,, like: suspension, brakes, hoses, look for leaks ya~da ya~da
worst thing I encounter in Ky after a heavy rain is removing fishing-worms residue
I drive in the rain at least twice a week. In south Florida, after June, it rains every afternoon. A couple of years ago, I drove mine in a hurricane (just after) heavy rain and wind and no problem.
