Security System
I'm having a problem with my security system. There is a waiting time of approximately 4 minutes if the key or whatever causes the security light to come on and the car won't start. This has been happening alot lately. Is there something that I can check or replace to keep this from happening so much.

Sorry about that. New member! My vette is a 1995, no after market anything. Lately, when I turn the key, the security light comes on and the car won't start. It then takes about 4 minutes to reset itself before I can try another attempt. It's been happening alot lately.

Most likely a vats problem; very common on C4s. You can disable it with a computer reprogram or you can wire in the proper resistor to the dash wiring which is what I did on my 87 with minimal cost and hassle.
