Can you do this???

I am looking at flowmaster for my Corvette until I can afford a new system. Can you still use the stock exhaust tips on flowmasters? What I mean is can I cut off the chrome at the end and put the black on or no?

I took my flowmaster 40 series off and threw them in the dumpster, they make more noise inside the car than outside the car.

Ditto on that, mine are out under the back of the garage.
A terrible waste of money having them installed.
