In profile it has a stiriking similarity to the Shelby daytona coupe from the mid 60's, especially from the door back.

I don't know... I think maybe the pictures don't do it justice and I'd need to see it for real. I'm also a little confused on the motors, the link mentions a ZR1, LT1 and LT4 power plant. Pictures are definitely not a ZR1 and I'm not sure about the LT4 thing due to the intake. Maybe somebody has better eyes than me.

I agree with that, the rear end makes it look like a bug out of starship tropers or something like that. Wonder why they had to make it so different back there (UGLY!!!) , the rest of the car looks OK.

From the side, it kind of reminds me of old Porsche 928S. That was a cool car for its time. Still is.

Quoting 420hp would be a LT1 with supercharger.
