AC Clutch Question
How often should the AC clutch cycle.
Mine goes on for a few seconds, then off for a few, on for a few.
Now, it blows ice cold, I never paid attention, is it supposed to cycle like that?

If you sre seeing that cycling when the hood is open and just at idle, thats normal. If driving , and it gets cold, 50 or less air at the grill, the charge should be OK. To check farther, strap someone to the underside of the hood and close it . Ask them to check the compressor cycling, I'm sure it will be on for a long time.

Try this. Start the car and put the a/c on max. the clutch should be fully engaged. Rev the engine to 12-1500 rpm. the clutch should be fully engaged. If it goes on or off, chances are you are low on freon. Typically a bad pressure switch will either keep the unit fully on or fully off. You can buy a freon installation kit (r-134a) for about $35-40 which has one can of refrigerant and a hose with a freon pressure guage.
The guage typically indicates the charge status of the unit low-full-over.
