on my Vette I use a small towel same color as interior on the seat bottom only.I do not use anything on the seat back.
Years ago I had a charger r/t with white interior and had a clear heavy duty vinyl cover made to slip over the back only.I used to put this cover on and off all the time .The interior was real white when I sold the car.I would not leave this cover on for an extended time.It took 20 seconds to put this on.
Good Luck

Tell me you're not looking for clear plastic, like my grandmother has on her sofa.

why did you spend all that money if you are worried about messing them up? Seems rather silly to me. Is this a garage queen car or a sunday driver or what?

are you looking for seat covers you can sit in, or just ones to cover them while its just sitting there (and not to sit on) ?

Well I guess what seems even more silly to me is ..to spend all that money just to dirty them up again. Im only making a guess here, but you dont have white interior do you? This interior is nice,in fact its very classy, but if you are not fresh out of the shower and dressed for the evening it gets dirty and fast. Any other color IMO is more easy to care for. Plastic covers would help me be less careful.

I know, but they get so dirty quick, with the seat covers it would keep them looking as fresh as they are now. It would only be while im driving the car. I guess it could sound crazy ... BUT doesnt it seem like a good idea just for white leather?

don't drive it with dirty clothes. Stay away from gravel or dirt roads. simple as that.

you can have these clear covers made at any upholstery place -that is what I did with my old charger-it was like putting on a form fitted clear bag-very heavy duty-IMO if you are worried then just use a small towel for the seat bottoms

I have a triple white 92 vert. I tried covers for a while. I felt they ruined the look, and feel of the seats. So, I keep them clean by using leather wipes when I get home frome a drive. Keeps them looking and feeling good!

Thats not a bad idea. im really just wanting to drive it more without the hassel of it all. Grandma style plastic covers sound great to me. i really hope someone chimes in and knows where to get them.

I also have white interior, and I have white bath towels that I will use to cover mine seat bottoms.
I will also clean them several times a year with leather cleaner/conditioner.
I try not to sit on them with blue jeans or a belt, they can mark up the lower back of the seat. Don't ask me how I know.
These white interiors are definitely NOT maintenance free, but are beautiful.

I think the car is beautiful...enjoy it protecting it as much as possible without ruining the function and the comfort of the leather...why not buy vinyl in the first place if you're going to cover them with plasic....
Enjoy the car...don't save it for the next guy cuz corvettes are an enjoyment iinvestment, not an appreciating investment....

Oh, dont get me wrong, I LOVE the white seats, I was looking for a pair for a long time (before I knew you could just get them recovered) I just wasn't sure what your point was in the original post.

you are needing permanent covers to sit on then.... I wonder if you could make something out of one of those plastic zipper covers that you get bedspreads in, it seems large enough to fit over the entire bottom, then poke a few holes under it for the bottom latch to hold it down, and tuck the rest in.. that seems like it may help at least for the bottom.

I've never heard of or seen clear ones... i would imaging SOMEONE must make them though. maybe invest in a box of those temp plastic seat covers the mechanics use?
