Is it possible to remove the drive shaft off an 89 vert while the c-beam is still attached? I was lying under the car yesterdat and it looks REALLY close. I will be removing the beam anyway for a clutch change so it no big deal if that has to come off first. The part where the dread begins it when I think Central Coaster said "Putting it on was worse."
Pardon me CC if that was not your quote. you have been helpful to me on this forum.

Putting the "C"-beam back on is a real challenge in patience and bloody knuckles fowl language really helps during re-install try using floor jacks and pry bars to move the tailshaft on the trans around to facilitate getting the "C"-beam back into position. It has some movement available, but not much.
To answer my ow question....NO.. the beam bolts must be removed and the beam pushed aside for driveshaft removal.... I wish some had mentioned the emergency brake cable was hooked to the beam, I farted a little till I realized this and it did take a few cuss words to get off, can't wait to re-install!!!.

Seriously??? I was under the impression that the C beam did NOT have to be messed with to get the driveshaft out.....
