Default Head light problems

Hello everyone. Not to beat a dead horse but I have a 1984 with headlight problems. I have had both motor assemblys rebuilt, then found I had a bad relay. Replaced it, then lights then opened and closed as designed. But 2 days later the drivers side no longer opened. When the two motor relays are swapped the other light motor works. So I believe the motors are alright. The relays felt warm to the touch when I swapped them. Does anyone have any ideas. I'm about to replace the isolation relay and am wondering about the headlight switch. Thanks for any help.

I went thru a headlight problem on my '86. Was doing kinda what you mention in that it would work fine for a while and then driver's side would not work. Finally tracked it down to a faulty plug. The plug from headlight to supply (on mine there are two: one supplies power to the light and one supplies power to the motor). If you have a FSM, it will really help diagnose your problem. Also, lots of info if you search the archives, although I searched and never found the answer to my problem. If your light comes on but the headlight doesn't come up or go down, I would take a look at that plug. Not sure its your problem, but doesn't cost you anything to check.
