Default First rain

I've had my LT4 since the end of May, but it's been really dry here in MN. Today on the way home, I finally got to see how it handles in the rain - the real thing, coming down in sheets, cars pulling off to the side of the road, etc. I was worried about hydroplaning, etc., as cars were throwing up some pretty impressive rooster-tails, but I couldn't be more pleased with how it handled. It's got Firehawks on it that are a few years old, but only 5K miles or so on 'em - they didn't seem to have any problem whatsoever.

Yeah. It's a great handling car. I took a corner the other day with a buddy in the car at about 40mph. not a squeak of tire squeal and i could have even gone faster but i don't want to die. but that was dry conditions.

I've had mine in the snow and with the TC on it's probably better then most trucks or rwd cars out there.

Driving home from an autocross event was the first time I got caught in the rain. On 95 north thru Philly. That section of 95 has two ruts per lane. The rain was pouring hard, in Philly no one pulls over even if they can't see, and the ruts looked like rivers. I was pleasently suprised in the handeling of my Vette. At the time she was wearing new Kumo tires and I had no problems.

I drove home in the rain today, I caught the tail end of that MN storm up in the NW 'burbs, my '89 handled fine, stopped fine, but taking off from a stop light wasn't easy...
