should be a easy fit just take care if you reuse the ***** from the old setup they are long enought to screw into your ac condenser so i put a 1 inch peice of rubber hose under each tab and washered them out a little works like a charm now
mines a 90 does not have a maf not sure how 85/89 air filter is setup but i would think it would be not that hard to make it work they say it for a 90/96
I've got one of these and it works very well on the Grand Sport in conjunction with the modified MAF and the BB exhaust. It is noticably better than the stock air box, but I think I'm going to go on to a Vortex ram set up...

The 90 should work. The older cars probably won't because of the different radiator shroud.

The Vortex is a much nicer setup. Way more functional too.

This intake wont fit on a MAF car ('85-'89) cause of the intake tube size. I'm sure you could make it fit with some work.
If they weren't $250-300 i would own one but thats way too much for a simple cone setup imo.
Why aren't there more intakes for a C4?
I had the claw on mine, I thought the engine sounded louder, but I already had enough noise with the flowmaster exhaust so I went back to the factory airbox with K&N air filter. I agree, $250-300 is a little steep for this part, IMHO it goes with the cool looks and cool engine sound mod options. I didn't notice any increase in power. Nitrous is the only single performance enhancement under $1,000 you can put on a C4 that you will actually feel.
