window problems
Well just had my first breakage in ten years! Drivers window failed to go up.So mines an '87 and I'm checking various vendors and it seems I'm about to part with about $350 for a regulator.Luckily I decided to pull it to see if i could attempt a repair before ordering a new one and lo and behold,don't ask me how but I have the '84-'86 units in there with the nylon drive ribbon which had snapped. $24 to replace,thank you very much.Other '87 owners with the same problem check first before spending $$$.

I was surprised to find the old, ribbon style in my 87 also. According to the FSM, 87 coupes had the ribbon while 87 verts had the "newer" lift style mechanism.

strange goings on.Take a look at the crossmember above your steering rack,is it about inch and a quarter or two inch section?
