Default 1995 Ruby?
One of my buddies ran across this and thought I was selling my car but it's not mine.
It's a 1995 painted like a 40th but the guy is claiming that it's factory paint.
Did they have a color that was just like the ruby that I don't know about or should I email this guy and call him an idiot?

hes not claiming its a ruby, does sound like an idiot though. There was a dark purple metallic offered that year that was similar to ruby red

There was also a Dark Red Metallic. OEM Code 75

I've noticed in photos, the 92-94 Black Rose (73) looks almost identical to the 95-96 Dark Purple Metallic (05) which is what it looks like to me...

Could be..Those metallic paints can look very different depending on lighting, camera angle. Notice the one pic appears drak red metalic almost. They are all nice colors,though.

As the owner of a 95 who looked at all of the colors offered for that year, the color you are looking at on that particular car is the dark purple metalic. The dark red mentioned previously was just that a a darker non-orange red. The color of this car when seen in person is nothing like a 93 Ruby at all, more like a purple popsicle.

All depends on your particular taste
