Default Solution for battery drain

A friend stopped over today for a visit, hes got an 88 vert. Talking trash about various subjects and as always turned to "THE CARS".

He had a small solar panel (about 18" long by 8" wide. Lays it on the dash when its parked and plugs it into the cig lighter and it charges the battery. I've read several threads here about battery drain, this could be a solution. He hasn't had any battery problems since he started using it.

jest my 2 pesos wurf.

For cars that sit a long time, the solar cell charger is a good solution.

Never thought of that. Not a bad idea. However I use a battery tender.

I use a battery tender too. Mine sleeps in the dark garage all week until the weekend. Good idea for ones that sit out however.
