I wave when I can. I even waved at a mustang yesterday.... :o
but it was my daughter driving. I was even conned into washing the mustang later in the afternoon when she stopped in while I was washing the vette. (I gave her the chamios and she had to dry both of them)
You guys can be a tough crowd sometimes. Gee,,,maybe I'll just start a thread where you can all show off your goofy spoilers and 6 inch chrome tailpipe extensions and see how many chime in then. If I find a thread that I have no real positive comment for, I just move on to one I find interesting, I rarely slam the guy who started it, but that's just me.

some of us are rough in threads like this because we already know that the wave is alive, but whining and crying about it is dead.
just like in baseball, there's no crying in corvetteland.
I miss waves but I am usually driving my cars like I THINK they were meant to be driven. It's hard to wave when you are going sideways trying to grab second.

Im sorry but i didnt no there was a wave when i got mine in 2002 much less a look down on C4 Models.
The corvette mags documentries only touch on the ZR1 C4 if anything
I think its because its like being a middle child you get overlooked sometimes. As for the wave i can take it, or leave it, it wasnt in the bill of sale back in 2002 when i got the 86. If your problems are JUST other corvette owners not waving at you than you should be happy cause they are extremely mY-nute dud.

OK, enough! Obviously, ALL of you completely missed the jist of this entire thread. If you read it from beginning to end, you would have determined that the subject was not the "nod", or how devastating it is my innewr child not to receive one, but that the NEW Vette(C6) enthusiasts seem to be more chasing after a Horse Power fetish rather than appearing to be repeat Corvette buyers. It's funny how quick people are to respond to something before really understanding the context of it. I've read quite a few threads that obviously took off in a completely different direction than the author intended. Maybe I'll have to dumb it down a little from now on.

The people that get a kick out of slamming other CF members and talk about wasting bandwidth are the first ones to reply to threads with their 5 different 2Mb each pictures showing how they polished their wheels last night or shined up their exhaust tips

This is the official end to this thread, and I got to get the last word, hah. Doubtful!
Some Vettes do come with "dont forget to give the "v" to others" instructions. When we bought our C5 in march the PO gave us distinct insturctions on how to give the "v" to all other vette drivers regardless of year
I had two c6's give me the wave just yesterday. We're all Corvettes.
I see it similarly. I get more waves than not, sometimes the C5's and C6's wave first, sometimes I can't wave back and someone thinks I'm ignorant, and it all comes out in the wash.
The funniest bit is my wife has to drive the Vette a couple times a year. She typically forgets to wave -- and I have a vanity tag. She will come home saying "I hope you don't get slammed on the Forum because I did not wave at a C5 today." Yes she does know the generations God bless her....
I must say forum members opinions of women tend to get a little old. "Yes my wife knows her generations" like most dont? Sorry but I dont know where you guys meet your women but there are some that are not only beautiful, but intelligent and yes know about cars!
Wow, my fiance' would probably throw a party if my Vette were to disappear off the face of the Earth. She thinks it's uncomfortable, noisey, bumpy and completely impractical. That's what I love about her, she's always right. Hah. Woops! I thought I was trying to kill this thread, sorry.

No, you missed the point. You mentioned nod in your subject line, nothing else. A wave thread is a wave thread by any other name......

My wheels are black and so never need polished. Hell, I hardly ever wash them, for that matter. Also, my Corsa mufflers and their tips are painted black! That's how much I care about f***ing bling.
