This is purely a taste deal, but I think 18's are teh absolute biggest a C4 looks good with, barely...

It is a matter of personal taste, but for a C4, I would not go any bigger than 18s. Mine are 295/35/18 rear and 285/35/18 on the front.

The 295/35-18's on the rear of my 87 barely fit the 265/40-17's on the front have a little room to spare..

If I keep my car another year I will buy my 5 th set of wheels and go to a 19x9.5 19x11 set up. Price of tires is what holds me back. I had two sets of 17's then went to 18's. But now I am getting bored with the look of 18's. Look great but 19's would really please me. 20's is a little too big for me. By the way, I have 335's on the back now and they fit just fine.

I think I have a pic somewhere. I will email it to you as I don't know how to post them. They are Mallet wheels made for a C5.
