Brake lights not working

Brake lights not working
The fuse was blown so I replaced that. Worked for like 2 miles. Checked bulbs, two were burnt out. Replaced those and the fuse again. Worked for maybe 4 miles and now they don't work again. Any suggestions?

A short in one of your bub sockets.
Next time put in the new fuse and just one bulb.
> See if it lasts. If so that socket is good.
<add one more bulb to the mix and see if it blows that time.

OR you could have some wires touching somewhere under the hood, parking lights, turn signal, side marker lights (front/rear).
Look over all the wires you can see.

......check your brake switch at the pedal along with the sockets!

..1st, you absolutely positively have to get a helms field service manual if you plan on keeping the car!...to answer your question, it could have a break in the wire going to it that is hitting ground and causing your "symptoms" or the switch itself could be cracked and each time you press the pedal both can contact ground and "there ya go"......
