My interior needs new door skins, but here's tha deal. The original was graphite, but it was changed to a light gray. The dash and console are black, the seats are light gray, and the carpet is still graphite. The seat covers are still in pretty good shape and finances aren't huge, so for now I think that I would like to keep them. However, the door skins are in bad enough shape that I will have to budget some cashola to fit some new ones. What color should I go with? It is a black convertible with black top. I was thinking to go back to the graphite and to eventually put black pleather seats in it. What do you think?

Do you need to replace the arm rests along with the door panels? If the arm rests are still in good shape and you can reuse them definitely go with what ever color they are. If you change color of the door panels the new matching armrests are about $175 per pair. Along with the $450 for the panels and I hope you don’t need new upper door molding trim pieces… That will be another $150 or so…

The current arm rests are black, but they definitely need replaced. Everything does. The upper trim, the armrests, even the rubber pieces that are around the window. I found the whole set on ebay for a really good price.

It sounds like you should just wait and save up your money, do it all at once and do it right.

I have always liked the graphite. I would go graphite door panels and (if money is tight), dye the arm rests as a temporary measure.

Oh, there's no question that I will be replacing everything when the time comes. (everything regarding the door that is). The carpet and dash are actually in good shape, so those will stay. Do you think that black seats with graphite door skins would look stupid?

Another question? Do you think that c4's have it rock bottom on pricing? I have been told that once they reach the 25 year mark, they start appreciating again....not that I would probably ever sell this one.
