Default corvette homecomming

I have had a corvette in my life for as long as I can remember and been a corvette owner for 22 years and am sorry that I never got to go to the corvette homecomming before. I am in the Army and time doesnt always permit. This year it just lined up right and I decided to take my family up to see it. I have been to the factory several times and the musium as well. I expected this to be a grand event. Especialy since this would be my wife of 3 years 1st corvette event.
Sorry to say I was disipointed to say the least. Because I am military I got in for half price thank god. There was only about a hundred corvettes there including the parking area. About 30 vendors of about 2/3 of which were not even automotive related.
To top it all off they canceled the drag races for this evening. Probably because they didnt have enough cars to make it worth it. Also it had no affiliation with the musium or the factory which I was also surprised about. I was highly disipointed.

I guess thats why the corvette homecomming was such a bomb. Knobody cares about this thread either. I just wanted to know if it has always sucked or this year was the first?

It always sounded like a cool thing to do. Sorry it kinda sucked for you, I will think twice about attending it. Thanx for the warning.
