This one came up recently. The general consencus was "no way", if I remember right. Hey, to each his own, BUT,holy cow, your resale value will plummet, seriously. There's one on craigslist I watched and I think the guy is still trying to like trade it for some yard aintenance work now. He went way past desparate, way. The kit might look cool, but that large backend and,,,ya know what, just don't do it. It looks ridiculous. C4 body lines rock just the way they are. A humble opinion.

I'm still looking for the C5 to C4 conversion.

Now, I have seen a C4 to C1 conversion (62 body on a 96 frame),
but, C5 to C4, nobody seems to make these.........

Personally Im a fan of both,

I really love the C4's looks, however im also a huge fan of the C5 and its slightly more curvacious body..

It would be a hard call for me to do, I think I would do something like this if I got tired of the C4 after some time, and wanted a fresh look, unlike you guys though I can't just buy a C5 as they cost over $100,000 here. But for now I think stock C4's look great.

A few years ago I was d/l'ing pics of body kitted C4's and didnt like stock, now I can't find a single kit I Like, and Love stock (with some nice rims mind you).. I think im getting old

do a search.

if C5s are expensive in your area, doing this kit still won't save you much money... and it will look like crap when done. The lines of the C5 don't translate well to the shape of the C4... the kits are junk... the labour required to fit the body kit would cost over $10k US... so translate that into your local money and you get an idea of cost.

I would put the money into the existing chassis and forget the bling...

Woops! I typo'd "concensus", had to fix it myself before the usual suspects chime in to to correct spelling and punctuation. I tried to find the link to that ad on craigslist, but I think the guy must have traded his Frankenstein '84 for some raking and hedge trimming he needed done. Seriously, it was a trainwreck.

You can see how horrible that front bumer fits in the pic. Imagine what it looks like in person.

That rear end looks like a huge diaper, and it's totin' a load by the looks of it. Sorry, a guy who does that to a C4 should be subject to trial by jury. Us! Hang 'em!

Reminds me of a pickup that had too long of a camper with that overhang.

Depends really, A nice condition C4 is about $15-20,000 but thats original, and its illegal to drive an original Corvette in this country, because our laws state a car has to be 30 years old or older before it can be LHD, so it has to be converted to RHD which costs about $15,000.

To buy one already converted, a fair/average condition will go for about $20,000 and great condition up to $50,000, there is no one here to convert 90+ models so they are also illegal to import for road use, hence these prices are all for 84-89, but there are a handful of 90's in the country when they were allowed, going for $50k+ There are a hand full of ZR1's in the country and the last one I saw for sale was $75,000.

C1-C2 $85k+ C3 - $25-80k

And Z06? lol.. Ive seen one for sale, 2nd hand, it was $216,000.. so appreciate what you have guys, I go years at a time without seeing another vette on the road, here porsches and ferrari's are much more common, the vette really is an out of reach, for the average joe, Supercar...here

But fitting of this kit and painting would cost virtually nothing, perhaps $5K fitted and painted.. That pic above of the blue one has just had a bad job of fitment, there is a gentleman on another C4 forum that has a yellow kit, and its fitment is perfect, looks quite handsome, hey im not the original poster :P I'll be quite happy with the C4 when I find one, Im starting my search after christmas and the 1st C4 I inspect will be the 2nd C4 I've ever seen in my life, Ive never actually driven one, or even sat in one... the C3 I bought (in my avatar) was the 3rd C3 I had ever seen in my life..

I'd kill for the interior upgrade kit (from C5 West) but the exterior body kit? Meh... I'd just rather get an actual C5 I think... Thats a LOT of money and work into something that never looks right.
